Coaching for Skydiving Students
You finished all the AFF levels and are now on your way to become a real skydiver. Of course, we will be with you every step of the way...
After finishing the AFF program and becoming a solo skydiver, you are now entitled to jump on your own. Until you get your license, for every jump you do, you will be obliged to get a jump assignment from your instructors.
Generally, all experienced jumpers and staff at skydive colibri will be happy to help you in any way they can. We are really excited about new jumpers joining us, so please don't be shy to ask questions!
1-on-1 Jumps with Instructors
As preparation for your practical exam, you will need to do 5 jumps with an instructor. The best part: these jumps are lots of fun! Because finally, you will be able to jump with other skydivers.
While during your AFF jumps, the goal was to mainly become stable, and fly without intervention from your teachers, now, you will be asked to keep up with your instructor, "catch" them, or high five each other. .
These 2-way coaching jumps, also called 1-on-1 jumps, can be done in two discipplines: formation skydiving (relative work) and/or freefly.
Student's Friday at skydive colibri
In order to support you even more with learning all you need to know, we have initiated the skydive colibri Student's Friday. From our experience, during the weekends everyone is a bit too busy, so we encourage you to come over on Fridays - we will take our time to teach you and fullfill all your needs.
The main topic on Student's Fridays will be learning how to pack your parachute. Part of this will be learning to disentangle lines. Especially for beginners, tangled lines are a reoccuring phenomenon, especially after landing on a windy day. Knowing how to disentangle your lines without help, is a main requirement for your skydiving license.
Also, you will be able to do your low altitude jumps. We will record them on video and analyze them altogether with you. These jumps are also a main requirement for getting your skydiving license.
You can only sign up for the license exam, after having taken part in one of the Student's Fridays!
